Valentine's Day lunch
It wasn't the most romantic Valentine's lunch, but Mr and Mrs Sherriff had a great time with 16 of Tower English's elementary school pupils at Hariom, the Nepalese curry house in Abiko.
And more importantly, all the children ordered their meals in English. For bonus points (and a Valentine's Day chocolate), each student had to think of a question to ask the waiter - in English.
Some of the questions they asked were:
Do you like Japan? Where do you live? What's your favourite curry? What's your name? What's your favourite colour? Do you like working in a curry restaurant? Why did you come to Japan? What curry do you recommend? Which do you like - Nepal or India? Do you like cats?
Everyone did really well and had a good time. Happy Valentine's Day all.
